Commercial Carpet
My brother has got a new job doing Commercial Carpet fitting and he has been doing this for a couple of years now. Because it is Commercial Carpet fitting that he does, he is very busy at the moment as it seems that there are companies who want Commercial Carpet fitting doing all of the time. He works with around four other people in his daily working life and it is lucky for him that they all get on really well indeed. One of his colleagues has now become a really good friend of his and they go to watch football matches together every week. This has been a revelation to me because it is only through him that my brother has got into watching football at all. As we were growing up he never showed any interest at all but now he is absolutely fanatic about it. I think it is good for him to have this interest outside of work though and he really does seem to get every moment of enjoyment out of his life that he can. I hope he continues to be as happy in his life and work as he is at the moment.

Wacker Plate
I had a few jobs as a young lad and one of them was a delivery driver for a plant hire company. On a daily basis I would be visiting numerous sites delivering concrete mixers, pressure washers and Wacker Plates. The small types of plates were easy to move around but the larger items were heavy and you had to drag them into position. I remember thinking at the time, couldn`t the design be made easier for people who needed to position their Wacker Plate to the job face. All these years later and it would seem that somebody has had the same thought because you can now buy a Wacker Platee that you can attach wheels to. This means that you can simply roll the plate into position when you are on site without straining and using up excess energy. The petrol plate still operates the sound and it has an impact depth of 20cm. When rubble needs compacting the plate will perform this task easily with its walk speed of 20-25 meters a minute. Maybe I should have patented a Wacker Plate with wheels on it all those years ago when I used to deliver plant equipment to site.
